In 1980, after a number of years in the telecommunications industry, brothers Stan and Joe Stevens saw an opportunity to service metropolitan Detroit customers better and faster than the competition. They purchased a struggling interconnect company and with plenty of long hours and hard work, a healthy and thriving organization emerged. CTS/Unitel was born!

Over the years they established lasting relationships with key suppliers such as Toshiba, NEC and SBC to name a few. They also developed a reputation for delivering quality and value to their customers. Their biggest source of pride is having built one of the best organization of telecommunications professionals in the industry.

Today, after 20 plus years of growth and several acquisitions, CTS Companies has developed into a full service voice and data communications company. Stan and Joe still run CTS today and take pride in serving thousands of Michigan customers each year.
